What’s wrong with the pickup on my guitar?
My neck pickup suddenly stopped working. When I play clean, it makes no noise at all. Even with ridiculous amounts of distortion and volume, it sounds clean and is very quiet. Is there anything I can do, or do I need a new pickup?
You Can check the wiring, but chances are its your pickup selector switch. Chances are it has a dirty contact on the position for that pickup. Try using some contact cleaner for electronics. Otherwise you can also just replace the part. Pickups almost never go bad unless you really abuse them.
